Platformer
A downloadable game for Windows
A simple but difficult fixed screen platformer, created in one week. Inspired by simple platformers for early microcomputers like the Apple II and Commodore 64, the kind I played when I was a kid. Miner 2049er, Jumpman, Lode Runner - though for this project I wanted to de-emphasize puzzles and keep it fairly basic.
Controls:
- WASD, arrows, or gamepad to move
- space or gamepad button to jump.
- You can indeed double-jump!
Cycles endlessly after 5 stages, but doesn't get any more difficult. Play until you get bored and you win! Hooray!
Future plans:
With sufficient interest I could add increasing difficulty each time you finish a "round" of levels, refine the gameplay, improve the art, and squash a bug that makes the game sometimes crash between levels. I could also add a new enemy type to the dirt level, and add another stage of each "type" to the game cycle.
But for now I'll just start developing the next game. Follow my dev channel on YouTube for updates, or just support me on Patreon.

In June I will be making an expanded version of one of May's games, possibly this one. My patreon supporters will be able to vote on which one moves forward.
